3 dead in shootings at Kansas Jewish sites

KANSAS - Three people were dead and one in custody following multiple shootings Sunday afternoon in the suburban area of the US city of Kansas, local media reported on Sunday.
The shootings occurred Sunday afternoon at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City and Village Shalom in Overland Park, a suburb of Kansas City metropolitan area, local TV KSHB reported.
Three people were dead and a 14-year-old boy was in critical condition at a local hospital, KSHB reported.
Overland Park Fire Department spokesman Jason Rhodes said shootings occurred at two locations and one person was currently in custody.
The Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City posted on its Facebook page that there has been a shooting incident and the building is still on lockdown.
A FBI spokesman said the Federal Bureau of Investigation is at the scene working with local authorities investigating the shootings, CNN reported.
