HOUSTON - A high school in the US city of Houston, Texas, was evacuated Tuesday due to a bomb threat, local media reported.
The threat was made against Westbury High School in southwest Houston, the news website click2houston.com quoted Houston Independent School District officials as reporting.
School district officials did not give specific information about how or when the bomb threat was made. Students were allowed to return to their classrooms by 10:15 am, according to the report.
The school is not the only one in Texas that received bomb threats. Across the state, other school districts and universities have faced similar problems.
Texas A&M University and Collin College's Spring Creek campus have also been disrupted by bomb hoaxes.
