The Shanghai International Tourism and Resorts Zone is among the recommendations on the list. Apart from Shanghai Disneyland, which officially opened on June 16, tourists are also encouraged to enjoy the ecological garden and flower fields or go shopping at Shanghai Village, which is home to leading international and Asian luxury fashion brands.

Another entry on the list is the Shanghai Museum of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Founded in the 1930s, this museum in Pudong New District offers visitors a unique insight into the millennia old practice of TCM.
Suburban Songjiang and Fengxian districts are also on the list for their water entertainment projects. Shanghai Playa Maya Water Park and Shanghai Happy Valley in Songjiang feature aquatic games and offers tourists special summer packages with several popular hotels in the area.
