Garuda Indonesia recently announced Hans Hanliono Kasri would replace Asa Perkasa as its Beijing office's general manager, and lead market operations in northern China for the airlines' passenger and freight transportation.
During Perkasa's tenure in the past three years and eight months, direct flights between Beijing and Bali were launched by the company.
The 52-year-old Kasri says he plans to further promote the airlines as a global brand for business trips, honeymoons, golf and water sports, among other activities.
According to the Indonesian embassy in Beijing, around 960,000 Chinese tourists visited that country in 2014. This year, Indonesia would aim to attract 2 million Chinese tourists.
