Yantai hosts leisure cities event

The 2012 China Leisure Cities Comprehensive Assessment event and the 2012 China Holiday Cities Forum were held on Oct 31 in Yantai, Shandong province.
Qingdao, Hangzhou, Chengdu and Yantai were considered this year's China's best leisure cities at the forum.
The results of the 2012 Cities Leisure Index, 2012 Special Leisure Cities and 2012 Leisure Towns assessments were also announced.
The 2012 China Leisure Cities Comprehensive Assessment is conducted by the Leisure and Holiday Branch of the China Tourism Association.
The assessment covers 302 cities in China, and evaluates them using criteria such as environmental protection, arts and culture, leisure and entertainment, public services, friendliness, shopping and food, and entertainment facilities. The public votes on the cities online.
