Hang Lung Properties launched a massive new development in Shenyang, comprising a high-end shopping center, office towers, hotel and serviced apartments on Sept 28.
Covering more than 1 million square meters of floor area, Forum 66 is the Hong Kong property developer's second landmark development in the Shenyang city center after Palace 66 and its largest project under construction.
It will be "completed in phases", according to a company statement.
Hang Lung's portfolio on the mainland also includes properties in Shanghai, Jinan, Wuxi, Tianjin, Dalian and Kunming.
"The launch of Forum 66 not only extends Hang Lung's footprint on the mainland; it also marks a new phase of the company's transformation into a leading national corporation, running multicity operations," says company chairman Ronnie Chan.
Forum 66's shopping complex will feature top luxury brands. Among them are Baccarat, Chanel, Giorgio Armani, Ralph Lauren, Roger Vivier and Valentino. Other top brands in the mega-mall will include Bottega Veneta, Cartier, Celine, Dunhill, Salvatore Ferragamo, Loewe, Tiffany & Co and Tod's.
With a superb location on Qingnian Dajie, the "Golden Corridor" thoroughfare that runs through the city center, Forum 66 is close to the Liaoning provincial capital's best-known landmarks, such as the Liaoning Grand Theater, the Liaoning Provincial Museum, the Municipal Government Building and City Plaza.
The new No 2 metro line built along the "Golden Corridor" will offer direct access to Forum 66 from the station.
