Carmelo Anthony finished with 31 points helping the New York Knicks past the Denver Nuggets, 117-90. The Knicks had a strong shooting performance from the field in this game, going 48-85 (56.5%). New York (20-30) entered the game on a three losing streak.

Anthony shot 12-21 from the field (4-9 on 3-point attempts) in an efficient offensive performance. Other key performers for New York were Amar'e Stoudemire with 17 points and 8 rebounds, Tyson Chandler with 12 points and 8 rebounds, and Jeremy Tyler with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Denver (24-24) was led by guard Ty Lawson, who scored 24 points. The sloppily played game featured a combined 44 turnovers and 44 fouls. The Nuggets made just six shots from the field in the fourth quarter.

New York Knicks head coach Mike Woodson said after the name: "We haven't been able to run up and down, scrimmage and bang and do all the necessary things a team should do during the season. Yesterday was a spirited practice… a nice practice and it was a carry over to the ball game. We need more days like that. Tonight was pretty good on both ends of the floor."
