Lashmanova wins women's 20km race walk gold

MOSCOW - Russia's London Olympic champion Elena Lashmanova clocked one hour, 27 minutes and nine seconds to claim the women's 20-kilometer race walk title at the 2013 IAAF World Championships here on Tuesday.
Lashmanova's countrywoman Anisya Kirdyapkina, gold medalist at the World University Games, finished second while China's Liu Hong, the 2009 World bronze and 2011 World silver medallist, took the bronze after the other Russian walker Vera Sokolova received the third warning and was disqualified in the final kilometers.
