Belarus pocket six canoeing gold in one day

MINSK - Belarusians have won 6 more medals in the evening session at the Kazan Universiade to mount the total of canoeing medals to 12 on Monday.
Belarusian athletes won six medals in the evening (4 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze) session of the canoeing event, the same as in the morning.
Marina Litvinchuk won the title in K1500m. Alexandra Grishina and Margarita Tyshkevich finished first in K2500m. Women's kayak four were victorious in 500m. Dennis Zhygadlo and Vitaly Belko sailed to another gold in K2500m. Belarusian men's crew of Pavel Medvedev, Denis Zhygadlo, Artur Litvinchuk, Vitaly Belko picked up silver in K500m. Olympic champion Andrei Bogdanovich finished in third in the C1500m.
On Monday Belarus won 6 gold medals, 3 silver medals and 3 bronze medals in canoe/kayak events. In one day they added 12 medals to Belarus' medal count.
