Two of R4WO team members makes a presentation about their scientific findings during their global expedition. The map shows the overall five garbage gyres all around the world. They are formed in the effect of rotating ocean currents and large wind movements. Each gyre is characterized by exceptionally high relative concentrations of pelagic plastics, chemicals sludge and other debris that has been trapped within it.
