The government's accelerated efforts to boost the rule of law and the efficiency of its governing capability will have a far-reaching influence on its future development, says a People's Daily article.

A draft amendment to the Legislation Law has been submitted to the third session of the 12th National People's Congress for review. This represents the first revision to the law since it was introduced 15 years ago. The national legislation against corruption has also been listed as a key work for the top legislature in 2015. At the same time, the legislation of the first anti-terrorism law is also underway.

The efforts to establish rule of law have not only helped advance the building a well-off society, they have also considerably improved the country's international image. Zheng Yongnian, director of the East Asian Institute in Singapore, pointed out that China's ongoing construction of the rule of law will create win-win results. The Economist magazine also believed China's decision to comprehensively promote rule of law will benefit its future development.

To advance the rule of law is also reflected in its increased collaboration with other countries in the fight against corruption. A total of 680 economic criminals were brought back from abroad last year. China also finished talks with relevant countries on 11 treaties of extradition and criminal judicial assistance in 2014, increasing the number of such kind of treaties China has signed with other countries to 91. Its cooperation with the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand on hunting fleeing "foxes" has also upheld the dignity of its laws and social justice.

China's ongoing effort to promote the rule of law demonstrates to the world that it is taking sound steps toward the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
