All parties in Iraq must oppose all forms of terrorism and protect the country's citizens, says an article in People's Daily (excerpts below).
A United Nations' report on June 1 shows that 1,045 people were killed in violence and terrorism attacks in Iraq in May.
The Iraq invasion occurred 10 years ago but security remains the biggest concern for ordinary citizens who just want to get on with life.
The residual consequences of war, the dislocation, the upheaval, as well as regional tension add to the security concerns. But all parties in Iraq must put the people's welfare first.
Killings only aggravate hatred.
