Chen Weihua is the Chief Washington Correspondent of China Daily and Deputy Editor of China Daily USA. He is also a columnist, with a particular focus on US politics and US-China relations.

Mr. Chen joined China Daily in 1987 and moved to the US in 2009. He was a Freedom Forum Fellow at University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1993-94, a World Press Institute Fellow at Macalester College in 1998 and a Knight Fellow at Stanford University in 2004-2005.
