Comment on "2 girls commit suicide for travel fantasy", (China Daily, March 7)
A 19-year-old girl is not a little kid, there's something wrong with the way that Chinese parents bring up their children. Chinese parents over-protect their kids, and don't give them a chance to find out things for themselves or to learn from others. They tell their children what to do from childhood to adulthood. So when as grown-ups they come across a situation their parents haven't told them about, they end up making foolish decisions. It's a sad thing that they can't tell right from wrong. Such kids never grow up because they always have the mentality of children.
