Three students donate $81,666 to help children
Three students from Shanghai have pooled together 500,000 yuan ($81,666) to set up a charity foundation, Shanghai Youth Daily reported.
Wei Zongtai from Shanghai World Foreign Language Middle School donated 250,000 yuan and will be the director of the body, Light of Youth Special Fund. He also persuaded his little brother Wei Qitai and his classmate Yang Xing to chip in and sponsor the organization.
The three used their gift money to raise the funds. The foundation will assist poor children, children with special needs and autistic children.
