If you see a stray animal on the road, please don't go away and ignore it as probably you can save its life. Here is what you can do when you find a stray animal.

Slowly move closer and touch the animal.

Take it to the vet for examination and medical treatment.

If you want to adopt it, get it neutered or spayed and take it for vaccination. If you cannot adopt it, take it to the temporary animal shelters for others to adopt.
