Nicole Teng explains how to transform an old sofa chair into a unique piece of furniture.
1. Remove the original fabric and place sackcloth over it.
2. Measure the chair.
3. Cover it with sponge.
4. Draw the patterns on a sheet of design paper that you want to be sewed on the main side of the chair.
5. Cut the cloth into pieces according to your design and collage them together.
6. Ask a tailor to sew the pieces into a single piece according to the design.
7. Put the piece of cloth back on the chair and tailor it to fit.
8. Ask a sofa maker to sew the main designed piece together with other cloth materials to make a full cover.
9. Have the sofa maker band the cover onto the chair.
10. The finished piece.
