Ten luxury brands took part in an online charity auction at the celebration marking the third anniversary of the Florentia Village outlet in Tianjin last month. Zhang Liang, a top Chinese male model and reality show celebrity, unveiled the auction with Maurizio Lupi, managing director of RDM Asia, the developer of the Florentia Village. The items include a Prada tote bag, an evening bag from Ferragamo and a parka from Peuterey's Karum Rashid collection. They are now available on the e-commerce platform Xxdd.com. All of the proceeds will be donated to schools in poverty-stricken areas for renovation projects. With more than 180 international luxury brands, many of which are Italian, the outlet, about 20 minutes by train from downtown Beijing, has received more than 6 million people since it opened in 2011.
