Samsung launched its 2014 Samsung Tech Institute project in Tianjin on March 26, planning to provide electronic maintenance classes to students of vocational schools in Tianjin, Suzhou in Jiangsu province, and other cities in the western region.

About 50 students, aged from 16 to 18, from a vocational school in Tianjin attended the first class. Teachers of the course are all engineers from Samsung's service center. The course includes 20 classes and runs two times each term. Students from the course will be recommended for jobs at Samsung’s factories in China. The project will expand further to work with other vocational schools in Suzhou, Xi'an and cities in western China later in the year.
