This started as a shabu-shabu restaurant 18 years ago but switched to selling seafood last year. Its main attractions now are an impressive display of fresh seafood, and an even more extensive array of imported hard liquor. A lively atmosphere makes this the perfect place to rest your feet and enjoy Taiwan's seafood treasures after exploring and shopping in Taipei's famous Ximending district. The shabu-shabu is still available downstairs and offers an all-you-can-eat buffet for two hours at $10 on weekdays and $11 on weekends. The restaurant is open till 2 am daily and ideal for night birds and insomniacs. - Paul Cheyne
Open for lunch 11:30 am-2:30 pm, dinner 5 pm-2 am. 1/F, 135 Chengdu Road, Taipei City, opposite Ximen Elementary School, 8862-2312-1459
