China World Hotel Beijing has welcomed the Mid-Autumn Festival in a spectacular fashion, with the general manger of the hotel John Rice showing their unique mousse mooncake to the press.
This intriguing mooncake with a distinct mousse flavor has been one of the hotel's best sellers. The idea of this exceptional mooncake came up by the hotel's chef team including the executive chef Philippe Daue and Wu (Jonathon) Di. The team proudly came in the 4th place in the World Pastry Team Championship as delegations from the China World Hotel Beijing.
According to the chefs, the cake, with the look of traditional mooncake, is made of soft mousse and sweet cakes, stuffed with delicious fruit gel, a perfect combination of traditional Chinese mooncake and modern western dessert.
There is a wide selection of flavors, such as peach yogurt, chocolate and raspberry, chocolate and hazelnut, strawberry mousse, tiramisu, mixed berries and Italian cheese.
