The Ministry of Culture and China Federation of Literature and Art Circles initiated the campaign early this year, encouraging TV stations to make more documentaries to depict today's China.
The 34 films present a colorful picture of the country, dealing with subjects such as horses in Inner Mongolia, the ancient town of Shaoxing in Zhejiang province and Hainan island's development over the years.
