China Central Television's documentary channel has presented awards to 200 documentaries by university students. The contest started in September 2011 and has attracted more than 100 universities to enter. A jury made of renowned documentary makers selected 200 pieces and held an award ceremony in Beijing on Dec 8. The honorees are now in a documentary workshop in Beijing. The campaign will continue, and the goal is to find 1,000 promising documentary makers from universities across China in five years.
