Huayi Brothers CEO Wang Zhonglei made the announcement at a star studded press conference held over the week-end.
Directors including Feng Xiaogang, Tsui Hark and Doze Niu attended the conference.
Six new films will be released by the production company this year including Jackie Chan's action film "CZ12" which is due out in December.
The film sees the 58-year-old playing Asian Hawk in his final mission, in which he must collect the 12 statue heads of the Chinese Zodiac to save the world.
Eight additional Huayi Brothers films are set to be released in 2013 as part of the "H Plan."
The CEO says he believes the plan will help Chinese films compete with Hollywood blockbusters which he says are dominating the market due to their appealing storylines and fantastic visual effects.
