Titanic sails back to China on April 10 in 3D and IMAX.
The blockbuster, which raked in about 360 million yuan ($55 million) when it premiered in the country in 1998, had been the highest-grossing film in the country until Transformers 2 hit the screens in 2009.
Cameron altered only one scene of the original film - the night sky at the ending. Astronomer Neil deGrasse Tyson questioned the position of the stars during the film's climatic scene.
Cameron had him send the right stars for the exact time, 4:20 am on April 15, 1912, and put them in the movie.
