Monkey King gets another dimension

Shanghai Film Group has remade the classic Chinese animated film Monkey King: Uproar in Heaven, in 3D.
The film is based on a 1961 animated flick depicting the beginning chapters of the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West.
The new version is created by Shanghai Film Group, Shanghai Animation Film Studio and Technicolor.
Director Feng Xiaogang, Chen Kaige and senior actor Chen Daoming do the voiceovers. The 90-minute film will premiere on Thursday.
