The second Beijing International Film Festival will kick off on April 23, 2012, and last six days.
The main venue will be the National Stadium, which hosted the 2008 Olympics' opening ceremony.
There will be no competition section. The festival will select a number of nominated or award-winning flicks from 2011's international film festivals.
Highlights include a film market for producers and buyers, a film carnival that brings filmgoers and filmmakers together, and a seminar of major global studios' executives.
The first Beijing Film Festival was staged last April. The film market sealed deals worth a total of 2.7 billion yuan ($415 million), organizers say.
