In the posters, the titular four take on the roles of the four protagonists in the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West and embark on a journey westwards for the true Buddhist teachings, while behaving in "Westernized" ways. The Monk enjoys a slice of pizza while riding his white horse, followed by the Sha monk carrying two baskets full of pizzas as backup. Hadži, the teacher and adoptive father of the turtles, takes on the role of a photographer and Casey Jones, a vigilante in the original comic, appears as a demon.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows opens on July 2.
