A touring exhibition displaying the technological and innovative achievements made by the Chinese Academy of Sciences kicked off in Beijing on Tuesday.
The annual exhibition was first launched in 2012, to keep the public informed of the latest developments at the academy, China’s leading research institution.
During the past four years, more than 2.5 million people from 22 provinces, regions and municipalities across the country have visited the touring exhibitions.
This year’s exhibition mainly focuses on the academy’s achievements during the 12th Five Year Plan (2011-15) period, in fields including physics, biological medicine, energy and the environment.
The exhibition in Beijing will last until the end of the month, before moving on to other parts of the country.
