Premier urges efforts to develop new economy

HAIKOU -- Chinese Premier Li Keqiang urged efforts to cultivate new growth dynamics and promote the development of new economy.
During an inspection tour in south China's Hainan province from Tuesday to Friday, Li said tourism industry is a comprehensive industry, which helps boost the sales of farm produce and also promote the development of consumer-friendly industrial products.
He called for efforts to protect tourists' interests, create a fair market environment to boost the development of the tourism industry.
Local authorities should encourage entrepreneurship and innovation, create an environment that is tolerant of failures, and create enough jobs, as millions of college graduates and vocational school students enter the labor market each year, he said.
Li stressed that governments at all levels should streamline administration, improve their services, as well as raise administrative and resource-allocation efficiencies.
He urged greater efforts to develop the new economy and innovate new business models to improve people's livelihoods and bolster the economy.
