At least 7 killed in Fujian restaurant blast

FUZHOU - A blast in a restaurant in Longyan City of Fujian Province killed at least seven people on Wednesday, local authorities said.

Another three people are receiving emergency treatment in hospital.

The explosion happened at around 6:30 p.m. from the kitchen of the restaurant in the city's Xinluo District.

Investigation of the cause is underway.
