Two women, who didn't know they were sisters, have been reunited after four decades thanks to the help of one's best friend and a little luck, in Hefei city, East China's Anhui province, according to ahwang.cn on Thursday.
Abandoned soon after birth, Wang Yuping was raised by a foster family and had a daughter of her own when she was 22.
As happy as she was, she often imagined what her real parents were like. But with no information to go on, it couldn't be harder to find her birth family. She talked about it with her best friend, Wang Qin.
Wang Qin, who was employed by a factory in June this year, noticed a colleague who closely resembled her best friend.
When she heard colleague Duan Daqun say she had a sister who was taken when she was about six, Wang Qin realised Duan might be the person her best friend was seeking.
With Wang Qin's help, the two of them have met and a DNA test confirmed their blood relationship in August.
Wang Yuping burst into tears of joy on hearing the news. She learned from her sister that their birth parents have died and she also has two brothers.
