KMT elects new central standing committee members

TAIPEI - Taiwan's ruling Kuomintang (KMT) on Saturday elected 32 members to its 19th Central Standing Committee for a new term.
According to the KMT Party's Constitution, the Central Standing Committee consists of 39 members, with 32 of whom elected by the party representatives.
The remaining seven posts go to five members designated by the party chairman, and the heads of the party's Youth League and its Department of Youth Affairs.
