BEIJING - China has lodged solemn representations to the United States for selling anti-submarine aircraft to Taiwan, Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei said on Thursday.
Hong called on the US to comply with the One-China policy and the three China-U.S. joint communiques at a daily news briefing after the US delivered Taiwan 12 anti-submarine aircraft on Wednesday .
"The U.S. should stop arms sales to Taiwan in whatever form and refrain from any act that might damage China-US ties and cross-strait relations," Hong said.
He reaffirmed China's opposition to arms sales from any countries to Taiwan.
