A Siberian tiger again visited a herdsman's home in Hunchun, Jilin province, on Monday.
Wang Zengxiang and his nephew scared the tiger away by drumming on water buckets and yelling loudly.
Border police suggested to Wang that he should set off firecrackers if the tiger returns again.
The village Wang lives in is in the national reserve for Siberia tigers. The farm has experienced incidents of tigers attacking residents in the past. Local border police placed a sign warning villagers to remain cautious in the area.
