Man dies saving girlfriend in bizarre test of love

A man died after attempting to save the life of his girlfriend who jumped into a river after they had an argument and staged a bizarre test of his love, Shandong Business Daily reported Sunday.

According to the woman, on Friday, she jumped into the river in Nanning, South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region after the quarrel just to test if her boyfriend cared about her despite knowing he couldn't swim.
People near the river rescued the girl. Her boyfriend's body was recovered by rescuers after five hours of searching.
