A movie extra in Zhang Yimou's new movie The Flowers of War , who was also running from the law, was arrested at Hengdian Chinese Film Industrial Park in Jinhua, a leading filmmaking base in eastern Zhejiang province, West China Metropolis Daily reported Tuesday.

The movie extra, sunamed Sun, was a salesman from Hubei province and he was arrested for stealing 213 TV sets worth more than 1.1 million yuan ($175,000).
He fled to Hengdian after the theft, and began working as an extra, until he was arrested in December.
In a similar case, Ji Siguang, a suspect in a robbery who appeared in many TV shows while he was at large, was arrested for a crime committed 13 years earlier.
