The index of China's investor sentiment in August decreased 8 percent from July, according to data released by Guohai Franklin fund on Wednesday.

The index for August stood at 42.82, far below the critical point of 50 in a zero to 100 range. The index was designed to reflect investors’ confidence in the macro economy and the capital market.
