A helicopter landed at Dezhou University, Shandong province to pick up a female student on March 19, 2011, with a video of the event stirring an online sensation and worries about the low-altitude flight.
Dezhou University said that the pilot was the student's father and he was picking up his daughter after he finished some pesticide spraying work.
Wang Zhongwu, a professor at the School of Philosophy and Social Development, Shandong University, said that using a private helicopter is rare in China and the public has a right to know the details of this event, for safety reasons.
