Couple's home demolished by mistake

A couple had their home demolished by mistake while on a medical trip to see a doctor in Beijing.

Meng Sulin, 61, was nursing her husband in hospital when she was informed by her neighbor that the family home in Chunguang village, Xuanhua district of Zhangjiakou city, North China's Hebei province, had been torn down in error.
She decided to return home with her ailing husband still in hospital in Beijing. When she arrived she discovered their home had been destroyed. The roof had been torn down, windows along with walls were smashed, and all of their belonging had been taken away.
Dixin Real Estate, the company responsible, admitted it was a mistake.
Meng called the police. The investigation is ongoing.
