Star Hurdler Liu Xiang appeared dressed in punk style at the CCTV Outstanding Athletes Award Ceremony in Beijing on Sunday.
Liu attended the ceremony, sporting a new hairdo and heavy make-up, and became the focus of the ceremony. Liu's new style has stirred discussions on the Internet. Some hailed it as "very fashionable". Liu's father told Shanghai based Youth Daily, "Honestly, I don't know why (Liu appeared in this style)."
