Sina Weibo, a twitter-styled social media service in China, has reached an agreement with Flipboard, allowing the US social magazine application service to capture micro blog content for its users.
Xie Ziyang, Flipboard's China division chief said the deal gives his company a bigger presence in the Chinese market. The collaboration will allow both companies to share resources, but no capital was involved.
Filpboard has promoted Chinese versions of its terminals for iPhone and iPad. By adopting instant searching technologies, Flipboard integrates information from social media platforms before presenting to iPhone or iPad users in the form of magazines.
