Construction is underway on what's being billed as the largest private real estate development in the history of the US, Hudson Yards, on Manhattan's West Side. All told, the 28-acre $1.2 billion project will include 17 million square feet of commercial and residential space, more than 100 shops, 20 restaurants and about 5,000 residences. According to a spokesperson for the development, an undisclosed number of Chinese EB5 - or visa-for-investment - backers are involved in the mega-project. Photo by Elizabeth Wu / For China Daily
