'Marry me, Chen Qiaorong!'

How far would a woman go for love? A woman has paid millions of RMB to put up a "marry me" ad posted at a bus stop in Xiangyang, Hubei province on Monday.

"Chen Qiaorong, Marry me!" say the five striking Chinese characters written on the advertisement. The woman's photo, in which she wears a white wedding dress and veil, is pictured on the right.

Reports said the ad would cost over 100,000 yuan ($15,640) per day, and many passers-by remarked that the woman must be very rich. But many are curious why such a rich and beautiful lady has to propose to someone by advertising like this.

Though some praise the woman's courage, others said it must be an advertising gimmick with some ulterior motive.
