Professor chases down hit and run car
You would hardly expect a professor to chase down a car, but that's exactly what happened in Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan province, on July 30.
The car Liao Quanming, a professor of Chengdu Normal University, was driving was badly hit at an intersection in the city at around 10:50 pm on July 30.
The air bags inflated instantaneously on impact and Liao's glasses broke. Fortunately Liao did not get hurt. He got out of his car, and spotted a white Tiguan speeding away and was quite sure it was the vehicle that hit him.
He ran as fast as he could and shouted "Stop! Stop!" but the white Tiguan ignored him. Fortunately, a taxi driver named Hou Yong noticed him and picked him up. After driving for about five kilometers, the pair caught the white Tiguan.
In our final story, a superstitious villager paints a cliff green to give his house better fengshui.
