Detailed instructions for parents traveling to America move netizens
Hand-written instructions by a young woman to her parents who will go to attend her wedding in America moved the hearts of many netizens after they were posted on Weibo, Tencent news reported.
Che Liang, a 25-year-old female from Chongqing, is going to marry her boyfriend Daniel in August. They invited her parents to attend the wedding in America. Worried that her parents might have difficulty making the trip, Che made detailed instructions of how to take the plane.
"My parents do not speak English and this is their first time to America. I think they will have some language problems during the trip, so I wrote down the instructions for them," said Che.
The instructions are three pages long. They contain an itinerary, points of attention, and useful dialogue written in both Chinese and English. Che said she spent three days writing the instructions. She listed eleven possible problems and corresponding solutions for her parents. She also highlighted the important information with a marker.
Che's mother, surnamed Cao, said she had received the instructions and has started studying them. She and her husband have been busy preparing for her daughter's wedding. She said they worried about the language problem and told their daughter about it. They feel more secure after receiving the hand-written instructions.
