Fashioned schoolroom built by freshmen

A fashionable and comfortable classroom is now on the campus of Huazhong University of Science and Technology in Wuhan, Hubei province, thanks to the freshmen and their teachers who expressed their creativity by building the new learning place, CFP reported on Thursday.

The "makeover team", including 93 students and teachers from the university's College of Architecture and Urban Planning spent about 3 months rebuilding the 120-square-meter space, which was originally old and shabby.

According to the report, the renovation work cost a total of 6.4 million yuan ($1 million). Another 7 million yuan ($1.1 million) was spent on materials, which were provided by sponsors.
