Son's friends look after mother when he dies

An unfortunate mother in East China lost her only son 11 years ago. Since then, seven of her son's friends have been taking care of her, living up to the promise to be always by her side.

Sheng Ruzhi, from Hefei city, lost her son to leucocythemia in 2004. Her son's high-school classmates have since kept visiting her and helping her. One of the classmates, surnamed Fu, who lived 2 kilometers away from her, visits her at least two times a week.

In 2012, they contributed 40,000 yuan to renovate her house. Fu managed the whole process, and another classmate, who lived in Northwest China's Xinjiang, bought her air conditioners. Last August, she broke her leg, and Fu took her to his own home to care for her.

"The seven are just like my actual sons," Sheng said.

According to Fu, the seven became really close friends back in high school. During that time they always visited Sheng's family, who always welcomed them with good meals.

To help drug addicts, Chongqing holds a job fair for them, in our final story.
