What is the best way to save someone who falls into a trap? A crane would be a good idea, but what if the rescue might harm a mammal weighing hundreds of kilograms?
It took police in Jinjiang, East China's Fujian province, five hours to save a buffalo that fell into a pit by filling the cavity with 40 tons of water until the animal finally rose to the surface, chinanews.com reported on Wednesday.
The unfortunate buffalo slipped into the 13-meter-deep pit while grazing in a field.
