10,000 queue for free rice and oil
Free food is welcome anywhere in the world. When a local company offered free rice and oil to residents in Binzhou, East China's Shandong province, it caused a predictable scrum.
About 10,000 residents queued to take 5,000 bags of rice and 5,000 bottles of oil offered by a local company as charity on May 3, the third day of the May Day holiday, dfic.cn reported.
People started to queue at 2:00 am, bringing stools with them and the line stretched for 2 kilometers, said the report.
